Description: Four person capacity; cost $25.00. This lookout is on a 30-foot tower and has an excellent view of the Clark Fork River and Noxon area. You can drive directly to the lookout, and it is equipped with a single bed and mattress, table and chairs, bench, wood heating stove, bucket, and cleaning gear. Due to vandalism, however, these items are not guaranteed. The lookout is not wired for electricity and has an outdoor toilet. We recommend taking your own water as all open water is considered contaminated. Due to the height of the tower, we discourage bringing children.
Directions: Gem Peak Lookout Tower is located 15 miles southwest of Trout Creek, Montana. From Noxon, travel the Pilgrim Creek road approximately 8 miles to Road 149. Follow Road 149 and turn onto Road 2205, then follow for 1.5 miles to the lookout.
